My friends Mara and Eric are expecting their first wee little bebe! YAY!! They are going to wait to find out the sex of the baby, so for now they are calling this peanut Bob (Baby On Board). I’m not sure how they are going not make it through the entire pregnancy without caving!! I know I couldn’t… we found out as soon as we could. I have zero patience. In fact, I’m tempted to ask Mara and Eric to come along to their next appointment so I can find out! Here’s some neutral nursery inspiration for them to get prepped…
Love you guys and can’t wait to meet Bob!!
I’m going on vacation tomorrow with my family so I’m here daydreaming about sitting pool side (and I’m at home instead of work because, of course, my little dude caught a bug right before we leave… poor little guy). I am so excited to have a week away, but I’m so bummed my hubby can’t get out of work to join us.
Okay, I’m over it!! Bring on the mojitos!! haha just kidding hubs… Tremblant will not be the same with out you. We miss you very much!! xo
Speaking of mojitos, check out this awesome article, Cocktails in Bloom on Grub Street New York, with over 100 pretty cocktail recipes.

Have a great weekend everyone!
What a fantastic weekend! Spent Saturday celebrating my niece’s 2nd birthday. Sunday, Canada Day, was spent at the Kanata fair with the kids daycare buddies, followed by Kim Mitchell and fireworks. Can’t complain with Monday off, spent most of the day playing with the kids and being lazy.
I’ve been wanting to make tassel garland ever since I saw them by Confetti Systems. I’ve finally created one for my daughter’s room. Here’s how…
1. Get your supplies ready. String. Tissue Paper. Rotary Cutter. Self Healing Mat.
2. Fold tissue in half.
3. Cut in half.
4. Start cutting 1/2 inch strips, 1 inch from fold.
5. Open at fold.
6. Start rolling tissue paper at seam.
7. Twist middle until twist measures about 2 inches.
8. Twist center tightly and fold to create a loop.
9. Repeat.
10. String and hang.
I think it turned out pretty good and Charlie loves it!! This also looks great for party decor. What do you think?
Me and the kids are heading to my niece’s backyard birthday bash over the weekend!! Thought I would plan some cute party outfits ahead of time… Here are a few outfit ideas for some of my favourite cuties!
Everything is from Zara! I am officially obsessed with the kids section of this store. No delivery, bummer…
Woot woot, long weekend!! Who has plans??
I dream of one day having my own home office. I imagine it to be sort-of like a ManDen… but for chicks. A GirlCave that’s pretty, colourful, sparkly and organized with wallpaper, fresh flowers, art & craft supplies, amazing stationary, a present wrapping station, and Sex in the City playing all the time… oh and of course, a wine bar. Yep, one day…
A sequin wall? Yes please! Here’s a cool DIY from Oh Happy Day for this look…

Maybe I need to grow a Money Tree in the corner too… Do you have a home office?
My Dad was always the first I went to for advice, I always felt safe growing up, he always put our interests first, he also drove our butts around town where ever the party was and would pick us up no matter how late the party ended. Our Dad is a fantastic role model – teaching us to be good to others, how to have empathy, great morals, how to be athletic and healthy, and the list goes on… And I know this is exactly how my kids feel about their wonderful dad!! We love you Dad!!
Father’s Day is just around the corner people. Here are some things your cool dude daddio might be interested in…
I’m excited to celebrate Father’s Day with my Dad this weekend… we are also celebrating his 60th birthday on Friday!!! What are you doing for Father’s Day?
Here are a few before pictures…

Love this shot – fisheye lens captures the kitchen, powder room and dining room…
